Many water pumps are submerged and wells are polluted. more Covers the cost to deploy 1 Emergency Response Vehicle and 2 staff to a disaster operation. This specialized vehicle was designed by the Red Cross to serve clients during a disaster. This daily cost includes the cost of fuel and maintenance. more Provides for the travel, meals and shelter for 1 day for 1 Red Cross disaster relief worker. more You can help a child who is sick, perhaps even save a life. Your donation will purchase critically needed medicines such as antiobiotics and vaccines for children living in impoverished countries where International Releif Teams serves. more Your gift of $20 will enable the World Food Program (WFP) to provide 40 people with meals in areas which have been devastated by malnutrition and death as a result of a natural catastrophe. more To address rising mental health issues, Operation USA has partnered with local clinics, schools and social workers in New Orleans to provide counseling to adolescent girls affected by Hurricane Katrina and other traumatic events. more These kits, stored and ready for distribution in multiple locations nationwide, contain items needed to begin recovery immediately after a disaster. Each kit comes with a mop, broom, squeegee, pail, scrub brush, sponge, disinfectant, detergent/degreaser, bleach, trash bags, gloves and dust mask. more These meals are prepared by Red Cross workers and are delivered to shelter sites or through mobile feeding in communities by Red Cross Emergency Response Vehicles. more Covers the distribution and delivery of clean-up and comfort supplies for a family of 4. These supplies, stored and ready for distribution in multiple locations nationwide, include a flashlight, batteries, gloves, trash bags, hand sanitizer, bleach, rake and broom. more With decades of experience in post-disaster environments, CHF has fine-tuned a methodology to help homeless families by rapidly building temporary-to-permanent shelters that use locally available materials. more |
